Rome → Florence → Tuscany → Venice
We had wanted to go to Italy for years but kept putting it off. We did not just want to tick off the famous sights — we wanted to live in beautiful cities for a while, eat real Italian food, spend a few days in Tuscany and finish the trip in Venice.
Once we started planning it ourselves, we quickly saw how much had to line up: flights, four places to stay, trains, a car, museums, parking and restaurants.

Their route
- Days 1–3Rome
Airport transfer, a small hotel in the centre, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the Vatican and an evening in Trastevere.
- Days 4–5Florence
High-speed train, the Uffizi, walks through the historic centre and dinner overlooking the city.
- Days 6–8Tuscany
A car, Siena, Pienza, Val d’Orcia, three nights at a countryside hotel and a winery.
- Days 9–12Venice
Train to Venice with a local guide, Murano and Burano, a free day and a water transfer to the airport.
When we needed Easytravel
On the day we moved to Florence the train schedule changed. We had only just seen the notification when our Easytravel manager wrote to us. They suggested another train, rebooked the tickets and warned the transfer and the hotel. All we had to do was confirm.
